About 1 year ago, a 6’7 long athletic kid out of Oakland, CA went coast to coast for a dunk at City College of San Francisco during a summer kickoff event. Not knowing who this kid was, I was intrigued by what I saw in that single play. I knew I will be covering him in the near future. A month later at the annual Norcal Clash hosted by Gerry Frietas, that 6’7 kid at City College was Keshad Johnson out of Envision Academy. As I covered Keshad throughout his junior season, I could not believe a single college was not sold on a 6’7 kid that can jump out of the gym, long arms can dribble and unselfish.

This would all change after a spring session with EBO on the Adidas Gauntlet and Summer session with The Truth EYBL. Playing in front of college coaches on the biggest stage of grassroots basketball gave Keshad the exposure he was missing. Not too long after, Keshad held offers from Fresno St, UTEP, Portland, New Mexico, Washington St, Montana, Depaul, Georgetown, Nevada, Cincinnati, Pepperdine, Western Kentucky, San Diego St, UC Santa Barbara.

After a life-changing 6 months, Keshad Johnson has committed to San Diego State University. Go Aztecs

Keshad will be playing his senior season at San Leandro High School.
