The first installment of the high school Get Right Camp is complete. On October 13-14 at Rocklin High School over 100+ high school prospects came together to compete and HAVE FUN.

After 2 full days of basketball here are some takeaways regarding Norcal prospects and hoops.

The Stars

Jelani Clark 2020 (Riordan) – Only attended the first day of the camp and made a statement! Finished with 30 points and 25 points respectively in his two games played. Je’lani showed off a greatly improved 3-point shot knocking down a barrage of threes in both games.

Jhaylon Martinez  2020 (Vanden) – Dominated the whole event and proved he is worthy of every offer he picked up this past summer. He was able to finish above the rim on a regular basis and knocked down the 3 with little effort.  Jhaylon’s game is full of skill and footwork and to see him play above the rim on a regular basis will be a scary sight for his opponents.

Notable Players:

Malaki Harris 2020 (Marysville) – A kid from a small town with a big game, he played with Team Lillard this past summer and is ready for a big junior season. At 6’6 he is a very good ball handler and can score in a variety of ways.

Anthony Roy 2019  (Dublin) – A 6’4 lefty that loves to attack the basket but has a streaky shot. Anthony will be a key leader for the Dublin Gaels this year as they look to make a deep state run. Not too many people know about Anthony but will be on every team scouting report after this season.

Josh Williams 2020 (Sheldon) – Maybe one of the most underrated players in Norcal playing on a FULLY LOADED Sheldon High School team. Josh was one of the leaders for the 16u Lakeshow team that took down 6+ shoe circuit teams this summer. Josh is an unselfish player that can attack the basket and knock down the catch and shoot.

James Freeman 2022 – Sacramento HS –  At 6’3 and only a freshman was one of the best athletes in the gym. Showed he can handle the ball and have a good feel for the game. James will be a household name in Norcal in a few years

Jonathan Schooley  2021 – Inderkum HS – Stole the show with his jaw-dropping dunks and maybe one of the best athletes in the state regardless of class. With work on his jump shot, Jon Jon will be a national recruit

Tyree Gill – 2021 – Luther Burbank HS –  Strong lefty with a nice spin move attacking the basket and very strong for his grade.

Luke Westermeyer 2021 – Clayton Valley HS – Only attended the first day and showed he was a pick and roll maestro. Clayton Valley will be in good hands as Garrett Pascoe has moved on to Boston University

Jalen Newhouse 2023 – The youngest player at the camp showed he belonged with the big dogs. Jalen showed an array of moves to get to his spots and was fearless attacking the rack. REMEMBER THE NAME.
