With the summer right around the corner and no spring travel ball and doubtful for summer ball. We would like to spotlight the players and programs who would have been chasing their dreams of earning scholarships to play at the next level. Without games to cover, we will still continue to provide content and coverage to help student athletes reach their goal.

Throughout the month we will spotlight programs and their rosters. This spotlight features Golden City SF UAA.  The team consist of many of the top players all over Norcal with offers from many D1 schools.

Amaya Bonner (2022) Bishop O’Dowd – The 6′ guard is one of the top prospects out west. Amaya can do it all on the court and is best attacking the rim and making plays for her teammates. She currently has offers from Cal, ASU, Cincinnati, Utah, UW, Indiana, SJSU, and more!

Kennedy Johnson (2021) Bishop O’Dowd – The 6′ wing is tough on defense with a nose for the ball. She was a double-double machine her junior year and holds offers from San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara. Kennedy also earned Maxpreps All-State 1st-Team honors and East Bay Player of the Year.

Junae Mahan (2022) Bear Creek- 5’8 athletic guard with a great midrange game. A relentless rebounder that is not afraid of contact. Junae has a offer to USF with Ivy League, Mountain West and more WCC interest 

Teagan Brown (2022) Oak Ridge – At 6′ Teagan athletic and has an all around game. She averaged 18 points 8rebounds and 2 assist per game this season. Offers to USF and San Jose State and has interest from Pac 12, ACC and Ivy League.

Anela Thomas (2022) St. Marys – A 5’8 guard that is relentless at attacking the basket and can finish with either hand. She helped lead her team to a D4 NCS title as a sophomore. Averaging 13 points 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. 

Alexsandra Alvarado (2021) Salesian – Tough 5’8 point guard that loves to pick up 94 feet and a  great floor general. Was the starting point guard for powerhouse Salesian Prep. 

Sharon Nejad (2021) Menlo School – A 5’10 post has great footwork and leaping ability averaged a double-double this season and was named first team All-WBAL. 

Grace Florendo (2021) Sacred Heart Prep – Great shooter. Comes off screens and knocks down 3’s. Great defender. Gets her nose into offensive players. Great court vision. Very high IQ. Has an offer to UAA with interest from the ivy leagues and Mountain West
