CHB -The Elite 8 Fall Preview defending champions will once again be one of the most talented teams to participate in the event. Led by last year’s MVP 2025 Gavin Sykes and recent Stanford commit 2026 Myles Jones. Sykes and Jones will team up with talented upperclassmen 6’7” Ry Atkins.

The Trail -Features an experienced and talented group led by it’s backcourt of 2025 standouts Derron White and Rashawn Inglemon. The Trail also has several experienced sleeper prospects including 2025’s 6’2” guard Craigus Thompson, 6’5’ wing Ahziel Franklin and 6’8” Elias Roche. Roche, who has started to receive college interest as an athletic post, will team up with 6’8” Freshman Devon Dorrough who is considered to be one of the top 2028 players in the country to form one of the most intimidating frontcourts of the day.

Big Dawgs -The 2020 Elite 8 Champions are led this year by 6’4” Chadwick Johnson. Johnson is one of the most underrated players in Northern California. The athletic and skilled lead guard will try and lead an always disciplined and well coached Big Dawgs team to another Elite 8 Championship. 2025’s 6’8 Nathan Ruff and  6’0” Kingston Daniels will do their part as well.

Cap City - Possibly the deepest and most talented team in the field of 10. Cap City is expected to be one of the most exciting teams of the day. Cap City will be led by 6’2” Jaylen Valdez. Valdez is a dynamic and energetic lead guard. Also in the backcourt with the senior Valdez are talented 2026 guards 6’0” Fred Blue and 6’2” Sirmister Harriel. The pair are two of the better 2026 guards in Northern California. The frontcourt is powered by athletic trio of 2026 6’5” Myles Wiggins and seniors 6’5” Jephte Tambala and 6’6” Danny Panda.

Family First - Always one of the most competitive and talented rosters in the tournament, Family First will fight for their first Elite 8 Fall Preview championship. This years team is led by 2025 do it all wing Isaiah Dixon and talented junior 6’3” James Carraway. Carraway is expected to be one of the top players in the event. Sophomore Guard Xavier Starks is coming off a strong showing at the prestigious Pangos Fosh Soph Camp where he was selected to the Top 60 game.

CTB Academy -The senior led group will feature one of the most physically imposing backcourts with 6’4” PG Shawn Underwood and 6”3” SG SirMarius Jones. Jones currently holds several Division 1 offers and is expected to make a college decision soon. While Jones is a dynamic offensive player who can score from all 3 levels, Underwood is a gifted playmaker who can also score as needed. 6’5” Jaden Gonsalves and 6’0” Davion Watts are two battled test seniors that give Sac Hoops a legitimate chance to be crowned as this year’s event champs. An up and coming prospect to keep an eye on is 6’8”  freshman PJ Parker.

The Ranch -This group is led by 6’5” 2025 do-it-all forward Darron Lilly. Lilly has been a standout in each of the last two Elite 8 Fall Previews, including last year where he helped lead his team to the championship where they lost against CHB. Joining Lilly will be another experienced contributor in 6’1” G Damian Reese. The senior Reese has emerged as one of the better guards in Northern California.

Pacer Academy -Pacer Academy like Family First has competed in each Elite 8 Fall preview, and just like years past they will be one of the deepest and most talented teams in the event. Led by 6’5” Jr Andre Gomez, who might be considered the most athletic and versatile player in the event. Gomez currently holds 4 division one offers. Pacer Academy features several talented juniors. Junior guards 6’2” Demari Hunter, 6’2” Cobe James and 6’0” Sammy Washington all competed in last years event. 6’9” Marcel Ward and 6’8” Nadir Lockhart are promising junior big men that give Pacer Academy as good a chance as any at winning this year’s championship.

Train First -A talented group who competed in last year’s event for the first time, Train first is led by brothers Kasen and Cade Krueger. Kasen, a senior, is a heady lead guard that can fill it up from all over the court. If the sharp-shooter get’s hot from deep they’ll be a tough out for any team. Cade, a junior, is a two-way guard that loves to compete, and will fill up the stat sheet. A sleeper prospect for Train First, will be sophomore guard Jaylin Smith. Smith held his own in the event as a freshman, look for him to make an even bigger impact in this year event.

Sac Tornadoes -This is the Tornadoes first time participating in the Elite 8 Fall Preview. While they may have chosen one of the worst names in the history of the event, their guards will be some of the best in this year’s event. 2026 Manno Jenkins is a lighting quick 6’0” PG who can score from all over the court. Jenkins will team up with 6’3” and growing 2027 Aaron Wallace to form an electric young backcourt. Wallace is coming off a Top 60 selection at Pangos Frosh-Soph Camp where had a 32-point game. Expect the Tornadoes to put up a formidable fight in this year’s event.
