Lots of people had questions whether this new NCAA recruiting system would be beneficial for the athletes. A handful of Norcal teams traveled to Arizona to play in front of college coaches.

The main purpose of the Section 7 event was for players to play in front of colleges. With that being said, this change was a success for many Norcal talents. The following players were able to pick up offers from division 1 offers.

Monty Bowser (Bishop O’Dowd 2020) –  UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, University of the Pacific, Hofstra, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, and Northern Kentucky

Michael Mitchell (Mitty 2021)   – San Diego St, UC Davis

Corey Yerger (Grant Union 2021) – University of San Francisco, Long Beach St., UC Davis

Gavin Wilburn ( Weston Ranch 2020) – University of the Pacific

Isa Silva (Jesuit) –  TCU (Picked up offers from Utah, Stanford and UC Davis prior to event)
