The NCS playoffs kicked off on Feb 12, 2019. In the Div 2 bracket the number 5 seed San Lorenzo faced off vs 13 seed Alameda. These 2 schools are in the athletic league during the regular season and this was their 3rd time playing this season. The first 2 games San Lorenzo handled Alameda fairly easy. 

With the season on the line, this game was within 5 points throughout the majority of the game. The Hornets was led by senior big man Jordan Givens. While Dionte Hill and Saveon Campbell led the Grizzles. Key players for each team Dallas Rider (Alameda) & Aaron Jacobs (San Lorenzo) were in foul trouble throughout the game. 

While crossing over his defender Dionte Hill hits a dagger 3 with 50 seconds left. Denzel Juan only playing time came in for the final seconds as the designated free throw shooter and sealed the game knocking down 2 free throws with 12 seconds left.
