Branson, a small private school out of Ross, CA with a school population of only 320 students was ALL IN to watch their Bulls take on James Logan. A public school with almost 4000 students for the Northern California Division 1 title.
The championship game jitters were evident with the first 2 shots of the game being air balls from each team. As each team settled in and no team could gain an edge with a halftime score of 19-19. Malcolm Steadman a 6’6 senior led the Colts for the first 3 quarters with 17 points.
The Colts biggest lead was 9 points before the Bulls gained momentum on multiple travels and offensive foul calls. Viktor Rajkovic and Kwentyn Wiggins scored a flurry of baskets and regained the lead 44-42 with 3 minutes left. During this run the Colts crowd was silent until Brahjon Thompson went coast to coast for a AND 1 under 2 minutes to ignite the crowd in a frenzy. Brahjon was able to get into the lane and make an acrobatic finish to complete the championship run.
