2020 will be one to remember to say the least. With everything going on with the coronavirus, everything in the sports world has been put on halt. The entire spring AAU season is gone with all the shoe companies canceling their April circuit stops. The NCAA has extended the recruiting dead period through May 31st. With everything at a standstill, the transfer portal is buzzing with the possibility of immediate eligibility. The following Norcal Division 1 player’s have entered the transfer portal.
Elijah Hardy – The sophomore point guard out of Bishop O’Dowd will be transferring from the University of Washington. Hardy sat out most of his freshman year with a injured wrist. In his sophomore season, Hardy appeared in 25 games averaging less than 10 minutes a game.
Where will Hardy end up? The following schools were in the recruiting mix prior to his commitment. Nevada, Montana, Pacific, Cal Poly and more.
Not a prediction but it would be an amazing story if Montana lands Elijah Hardy. Former HS teammate and AAU teammate Naseem Gaskin officially transferred to Montana last season and will be eligible to play this upcoming season. Former Arsenal teammate Timmy Falls is also on the Montana roster.
Josh Morgan – The Sheldon standout had an impressive freshman season earned defensive player of the year and honorable mention All-Big West. Josh is one of the hottest transfers on the market getting interest from USC, UCLA, Oregon, Syracuse, Texas, St. Mary’s and every school in the Pac-12. Not surprised with all the suitors now following suit as Josh was an elite shot-blocker, runs the floor like a dear and catches lob’s as a wide receiver back in his Sheldon days.
