June is the month of high school summer league. Each year Sheldon and Frankin high school team up to host one of the best summer league tournaments year after year.

Sheldon came out as champions in the platinum bracket and they look to be even better than last years team Norcal Championship team.

Notable Players:

Kendall Munson – Capital Christian 2020- The top player in Sac and one of the top 2020’s on the west coast Kendall is back from sitting out last season due to injury. He looks to be in great shape and a force in the paint and a pest at the top of the full court trap for Capital

Justin Nguyen – Sheldon HS 2019 – Has been destroying the HS summer league season and looks to be a handful for any team in Sacramento this season. He is a great ball handler, lightning quick, and has a great pull up shot.

Josh Morgan – Sheldon Hs 2019 – Is 6’10 and long transfer, he reminds me of a former Sacramento kid in the NBA Marquess Chriss. Josh has great timing blocking shots and runs the floor like a deer.

Marlon Short – Monte Vista 2020 – A effortless scorer that was out last season due to injury. Marlon has a silky smooth jump shot and good at attacking the rim using angles. He will be running with the Bay Area Warriors this summer.

Steven Richardson – Grant HS 2019 – 6’5 guard that does a little bit of everything. Has a knack for breaking down his defender and making the right play after.

Dee Juan Pruitt – Grant HS 2019 – 6’7 and physical, he attacks the rim and looks to dunk everything. He should have a big July with Team Lillard

David Jones – Grant HS 2019 – 6’7 high flyer and great at cutting to the basket when his defender back is towards him.

AJ McGee – Grant HS 2020 – A unselfish point guard and X-factor on how far Grant goes on the state-run.

Preston Hall – Capital Christian 2019 – Will be the PG for CC and will be a key factor on the success of Capital next season. He has a great touch around the rim when he gets into the lane.

Teiquan Rush – Bullard HS 2019 – At 6’5 he is the leader for Bullard and was a big part in their win vs Capital Christian. He attacked the basket early on and showed off his jump shot when the defense gave him space.

Kaito Williams – Sheldon HS 2019 – A sniper from the 3 and can play above the basket if you leave the lane open.
