With the summer right around the corner and no spring travel ball and doubtful for summer ball. We would like to spotlight the players and programs who would have been chasing their dreams of earning scholarships to play at the next level. Without games to cover, we will still continue to provide content and coverage to help student athletes reach their goal.
Throughout the month we will spotlight programs and their rosters. This spotlight features West Coast Elite Norcal 17u a well known program throughout the west coast and helping kids reach the next level with the best of them. West Coast Elite alumni include Carter Mahaney (Northern Arizona), Lamont Butler (San Diego St), Nicco Mannion (Arizona), and more.
West Coast Elite is a part of the Under Amour Association and will be led by Tichyque Musaka (2022) and Aidan Mahaney (2022).
17u Norcal UAA
Tichyque Musaka (2022 Valley Christian) – The 6’10 transfer from St. Louis didn’t get cleared to play this season for Valley Christian. That didn’t stop him from picking up offers from the top schools in America. Kansas, Marquette, Oregon, USC and more schools offered within the past 4 months.
Aidan Mahaney (2022 Campolindo) – The top ranked 2022 player in Norcal according to 247 Sports has been on a tear since he entered high school. Was on the verge of winning 2 state titles in 2 seasons. Aidan is a fierce competitor and a true point guard that makes the right basketball plays. He currently has offers from Arizona, Stanford, Hawaii, and more.
Marsalias Roberson (2021 Bishop O’Dowd) – The 6’4 scoring gaurd exploded onto the west coast scene this past junior season. Playing limited minutes as a sophomore. Mars came back and earned WACL MVP honors and picked up offers from UC Davis, CSUN, Rice, LMU and more.
Cole Anderson (2021 Clovis West) – The 6’3 sniper out of Fresno, CA recently committed to UC Santa Barbara was named 1st team All-State by Cal Hi Sports. Most known for his 3 point shooting ability, Cole can score from all 3 levels with multiple 40 point games this season.
Tyree Gill (2021 Burbank) – A 6’4 high flyer earned Co-MVP of the Metro League for Luther Burbank High School. Tyree would have benefited the most for this team on the UAA circuit.

Ryan Kiachian (2021 Bellarmine) – A 6’9 beast that can spread the floor out to the 3 point line but not afraid to get physical in the post. Ryan earned 1st-Team All-WCAL this past season and holds offers from UC San Diego and Cal Poly.
Austin Patterson (2021 Brewster Academy) – One of the best pure scorers in Norcal and D-3 State Player of the year will be taking a post grad year at nationally known Brewster Academy. Currently holds offers from UC Riverside, UC Davis and Montana State.
Austin Johnson (2022 Salesian) – the 6’3 combo guard known for his defense and knockdown shooting for the Norcal powerhouse Salesian Prep. He does all the little things to help the team win.
Jon Jon Schooley ( 2021 Grant Union) A 6’4 pogo stick was an integral part of Grant’s D2 SJS section title. Jon Jon is a walking highlight and his endless motor on the court is contagious.
Zach Turner (2021 Bellarmine) – Athletic 6’7 forward that plays above the rim. A sleeper on the team that would of opened a lot of eyes on the circuit and going into his senior season.
Max Patrenko (2021 Placer) – The 6’7 big man averaged a 21 points and 11 rebounds this past season. Will be interesting to see how Max produces on the UAA Circuit.
