2 of the top ranked players in America Jalen Green & Isaiah Todd has picked the G-League route instead of the conventional college route. While they are not the first to choose professional over college. These 2 players will a part of the inaugural G-League select programs.

Brandon Jennings was the first to choose the overseas route back in 2008 when he chose to play in Europe over University of Arizona. The new G-League select program is the first of its kind where it grooms elite high school prospects for the NBA while providing a 120k scholarship to go college. This team will be comprised of elite HS prospects and NBA veterans that provide mentorship. The team would play select games vs select G-league teams, National Teams, and Academies.
